Why are we here?

I’ve always been open and transparent about how things really are. I won’t pretend that everything is fine when it isn’t. At the same time, I’m not the type to complain – I usually find solutions and fight until the very end. But right now, things are tougher than ever.

Here’s a short recap of how we ended up in this situation:

• In 2019 I opened Arsenik. Three months later, I became pregnant – and then the pandemic hit.

• The pandemic forced me to quickly launch a webshop in order to survive, but my original plan was always the physical shop.

• Just as restrictions were lifted, Malmö city began major roadworks on the street where we were located. For over a year and a half, the street was closed to pedestrians – devastating for a shop that depends on foot traffic. I fought…
